Health Education and Workshop Leadership

Curley Consulting provides master training and workshop leadership for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) suite of evidence-based workshops. Topics include Living Well with Chronic Disease, Living Well with Chronic Pain, Diabetes Self-Management, Cancer: Thriving and Surviving, and Aging Well with HIV.

Developed at Stanford University and licensed through the Self-Management Resource Center, these six-week workshops are highly participatory—fostering mutual support, skill-building, and confidence to help participants take charge of their health and live active, fulfilling lives.

Additional offerings include the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) and Healthy Heart Ambassador (HHA) program for individuals managing hypertension.

Public Involvement and Community Outreach

Curley Consulting bring people together in meaningful ways—through dialogue, storytelling, and shared ideas. When communities are part of the process, everyone benefits. We meet people where they are—at events, online, and in their daily lives—to make it easy to join the conversation. Every project is a chance to listen, learn, and build lasting community connections.

“During the past three years, Bend Bikes has partnered with Kim to advocate for safer biking and walking infrastructure in Bend, Oregon. Kim worked closely with us to promote bike commuting through events such as the Week without Driving Challenge, The World Remembrance Day for Traffic Crash Victims and a special Bike, Walk and Roll Challenge that helped Bend Bikes grow its number of active supporters. I have found Kim to be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate for the cause of safe streets and she is always willing to go the extra mile!”

I have found her to be highly effective in bringing people in to work with the programs she manages, including enrolling partners you might not expect. She consistently delivers on time and on budget. When I was her grant manager I considered her my highest performing grantee and utilized her skills to train and encourage others. I highly recommend Kim. “
